<p>The "Tourist Guide" has developed from the website www.berchules.com which is a strictly local site with particular emphasis on the 'Nochevieja en Agosto' fiesta in Berchules.</p>
<p>Due to the success of this fiesta we have received many messages requesting all kinds of infomation, particularly connected with tourism, not only in Berchules but in all the Alpujarras.</p>
<p>Bearing in mind that there are already many services connected with tourism on the Internet, we decided to create a very different tourist service from those already existing.</p>
<p>Having the layout of a tourist guide, it gives a different image of the people, the villages and the countryside of the Alpujarras. Interest is focused on the details. Actual and correct information are more important than a complete index of places.</p>
<p>If you know of an interesting route, whether by road or over the mountains, let us know about it. We will find the best way to present it on our website.</p>
<p>If you have a tourist establishment, send us a message. We will get in touch and publish an illustrated report with all the pertinent statistics.</p>
<p>Visitors to our site can be assured that its contents have passed a quality control. We give our information service free of charge.</p>
